MyCountryRankings.org was created during several internships at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), in Laxenburg, Austria in the summers of 2010 and 2011. The main focus of the project was to find alternative measures for a country's welfare that are not primarily focused on per-capita GDP.
The aim of this work is to expand the number of indicators and to use statistical analyses for analyzing relationships between the individual indicators.

This web site provides analyses of countries based on statistical data and indices from various sources. The data and indices are used to rank countries in various dimensions. This should help to better understand why some countries develop and prosper, while others lag behind in development. Figures and maps are used to visualize the results of my analyses. All indicator definitions and data sources have been documented in detail and include, if available, web links for easy cross-checking. Some results:
